Inside City Hall

The City of Miramichi was formed on January 1, 1995 through an Order of Council to amalgamate the former towns of Chatham and Newcastle, villages of Douglastown, Loggieville and Nelson-Miramichi, and several local service districts. With a population of 18,500, Miramichi is New Brunswick’s fourth largest city and the service center of Northumberland County.
