Heritage

The role of the Heritage Office is to enhance the status and perception of the City of Miramichi’s natural and man made heritage. This is being done through our local Heritage Review Board and the federally funded Historic Places Initiative project, to create a local register of ‘places of historic significance’.

This Register of honorific recognition includes places that have influenced the development of our community through either its’ design, cultural influence, past events, or persons associated to the place were of historic significance.
