Fire Safety House

The fire safety house is a scaled down model of a family residence. Completely mobile, the house has two floors with a connecting stairway, exterior balcony, and various types of windows. To familiarize the children with a real fire situation, the house is equipped with smoke alarms, strobe lights to effect fire and an artificial smoke creating machine using non-toxic simulated smoke.

As a valued educational aid, the Miramichi Fire Department in its continuing endeavour to promote fire safety feels the Fire Safety House promotes fire safety through the educating of children. This will lead to a greater awareness of fire safety in the homes and lead to the prevention of needless loss of lives.
