Senior Outings - Registration begins on Tuesday,
May 6th at 9 am at the Recreation Office (1st Floor City Hall) 141
Henry Street, Miramichi

Destination: Mount
Carleton Park, a challenging mix of Acadian forests and mountain peaks. We
will hike to the top of the mountain 2690ft. This trip is for the explorer and
walker and will require that you are in reasonably good shape. The climb is
worth the spectacular view. Bring your camera and binoculars.
Departure: 8:00am

Return: 4:00pm
Lunch: Bring snacks and water for the
hike. We will stop at Danny’s Restaurant around 2pm on our way home.

Hints!!
1.
Wear comfortable footwear and dress for the weather. Bring a
jacket/sweater in case of inclement weather.

Bring insect repellant and sunscreen.
3.
If you have a medical
condition that requires assistance please notify the van driver.
Note:
1.
You are permitted to register for two (2) trips only and only register
two people.
Your name can go on a
waiting list if any openings become available.
2.
A waiting list will be compiled for those who were unable to get on two
trips or no trips and your name will be added directly to the list after the
trips are filled.
3.
Payment is required
at registration; no registrations will be taken by phone.
4.
If you are unable to
go on your outing please call 623-2300

note: Each trip has a deadline for refunds.
5.
Minimum age for the trip is 50 years of age.
6. You
will be travelling in a 15- passenger van.
Senior Drop In - at the Golden Hawk Recreation Complex on Monday to
Fridays from 9 a.m. - 12 noon. Walking, shuffle board, cards, pool,
exercise etc.
Senior Swims - MVHS pool on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 noon
- 1 p.m. and the Golden Hawk Pool Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Senior Skating - at the Miramichi Civic Center from October to the end
of March. Check the public skating schedule page for details.
Senior Monthly Events - events are planned with the help of the Senior
Advisory board each month from Sept to May. Pick up your brochure or check
out the upcoming events/special event pages. |
