Activity Camp |

Ages 11 - 14 years. Tues, Wed, and
Thurs. from 11 - 1 p.m. Get active in a variety of non traditional
activities. Roller Hockey, Hiking, Tennis, etc. Each week will
have a new activity. Stay Active and have fun this summer in this
non competitive environment. Site will depend on the activitiy for
example - roller hockey at the Civic Center, Tennis Golden Hawk Tennis
Courts, Hiking at French Fort Cove. Schedule will be provided. |

Volunteer. |

Golden Hawk Drop In Centre |

Open to youth grades 5 - 12.
Drop in at the Golden Hawk Recreation Complex on Tuesdays and
Thursdays from 5 pm to 8:30 p.m.
Come by to socialize with your friends or
take part in one of the many activities offered at the Centre. Activities
available free of charge include sports, game cube, playstation,
movies, board games, Ping-Pong, computer use, foosball, air hockey, and
more. Vending machines are available for your convenience.

Saturday Night Fever |

Open to grades 5 - 12 and is held each Saturday from 5 - 9
p.m. at the Golden Hawk Teen Center. Activities include internet,
fooseball, air hockey, pool table, playstation, sports etc. Call

Eating Disorder Resource Center |
| |
is open at the Golden Hawk Recreation Complex.
This project is a partnership between the Miramichi Eating Disorder
Network and the City of Miramichi Community Recreation Department. Books
are available to the general public on a two-week loan basis. Books
will be available in both French and English and include topics such as:
body image, anorexia, and bulimia, etc. For further

Youth swims for those grades 5 - 12 are available at the
Golden Hawk Pool on Saturday evenings from 6 - 8 p.m. beginning on October

Miramichi
Freestyle Park (formerly Skate Park) |
| |
Located behind the Golden Hawk Recreation Complex. The park is open
to users of BMX, Inline, and Skateboards. Sorry no Scooters due to safety
concerns. Properly fastened helmets are mandatory. Elbow and Knee Pads
are strongly recommended. The park is supervised.
The Park is open on May 15th until October 15th. Hours of operation

Skate Park T-Shirts
They can be purchased for $10.00 at the Golden Hawk Recreation Complex
during Teen Center Hours or by calling Mary Lynn at 623-2054.
The shirts
are a fundraiser for the Miramichi Skate Park Commission. They depict
a Boarder, Inliner and a BMX'er. James Vautour a student at JMH designed
the logo. |
