On March 14th 2019, the City of Miramichi and the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation will host a rental housing session to provide members of the development community and the general public with statistical information on the state of the rental market in the province and funding programs available to eligible projects.
KELVIN NDORO – Senior Analyst, Economics with the Market Insights team at CMHC. Mr. Ndoro will provide an update on how the residential housing market performed in 2018 compared to previous years, what’s driving the market and what we can expect in 2019.
RENÉ BABIN – A Knowledge Mobilization specialist with the research team at CMHC. Mr. Babin will share findings on how to develop a housing strategy for an age-friendly community, showcasing examples from across Canada, as well as new research opportunities for municipalities under the National Housing Strategy.
GUYLAINE BOUDREAU – Aordable Housing Specialist with CMHC will provide an overview of the National Housing Strategy, a 10-year, $40-billion plan creating a new generation of housing in Canada giving more Canadians a place to call home and outline the funding initiatives stemming from the Strategy.
