Chief of Police – Paul Fiander
The Chief Executive Officer of Miramichi Police Force is responsible for managing and directing the police force to fulfill the responsibilities of the municipality, and to provide and maintain adequate police service in the city. This is in accordance with the New Brunswick Police Act and Regulations.
Deputy Chief of Police – Brian Cummings
The Deputy Chief of Police assists the Chief of Police in managing and directing all members of the Force and all police services.
Superintendent – Randy Hansen
The Superintendent is the officer in charge of Support Services and supervises the Court Section, Chief Reader, Clerical Personnel and the 911 Communications Centre Personnel. The Superintendent is also
responsible for the following:
– Co-ordination of all aspects of the Communication Centre, liaison with all fire services dispatched by the -Communications Centre
– Planning of all staff training, and overseeing of contracted Animal Control Officer.
The Superintendent also assists the Chief and Deputy Chief of Police when required
Executive Assistant to the Chief – Cindy Stewart
The Executive Assistant supports the Police Force Management Team, supervises and directs police clerical support staff and is responsible for the administrative and clerical needs of the Miramichi Police Force. She also co-ordinates the City Crosswalk Guard Program.
