The City of Miramichi is developing an Economic Development and Tourism Strategy to guide our efforts for economic recovery and long-term prosperity.
The strategic planning process will include three phases: research and analysis, consultation and priority setting and strategic plan development.

The Draft Background Discussion Report provides a snapshot of the local economy and demographics and identifies the key issues for consideration in the development of the strategic plan.

PHASE TWO: CONSULTATION (COMPLETE)
Your thoughts, observations and insights will help ensure the strategy reflects business needs and community aspirations. Your input will help develop a plan that helps to support and grow a vibrant, prosperous community.
We have just concluded our housing, economic development and tourism surveys and are proceeding to our final phase of the plan development.
PHASE THREE: STRATEGIC PLAN DEVELOPMENT (CURRENTLY UNDERWAY)
This phase of the project will build upon the analysis and consultation combined with best practices in economic development and tourism management to develop a strategy that serves to guide our future prosperity.
