Recreation Facility Attendants
The City of Miramichi is currently recruiting Facility Attendants to help create a welcoming atmosphere for volunteers, user groups and the public by providing a high level of customer service at the City’s Recreation facilities.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with the public and seeking casual work.
Reporting to the Community Development Coordinator the key responsibilities of the position are:
Communicate in a cooperative manner with co-workers, volunteers, user groups and the public.
Provide accurate statistics of facility usage and information on the programs available.
Collect all user fees involved with the facility and programs and account for such funds.
Set up, take down and sign out/in all available equipment, reporting any damage.
Report any damage to the facility.
Routine facility patrol to ensure safe and practical use of such area.
Responsible for the opening and closing of facilities.
Report all disorderly conduct and rule violations.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 or equivalent supplemented by experience dealing with the public.
The ability to deal courteously and effectively with the public, receive money and issue change accurately and promptly and be able to maintain records related to the work.
Please note: This is considered a position of trust (child safety) and the successful candidate(s) will be required to have criminal record check (vulnerable sector) completed.
Also, successful candidates will be required to successfully complete an Employer provided Workplace Standard First Aid & CPR training course.

Salary:
Minimum wage plus $1.00
