Greater Miramichi
Chamber of Commerce

Established in 1981 through the unification of the former Chatham and Newcastle Chambers, the Greater Miramichi Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) serves as the leading voice for over 175 businesses in the region. Dedicated to fostering a thriving local economy, the GMCC advocates for policies that support business growth, provides networking opportunities, and offers resources to help members innovate and succeed. By aligning with both the Atlantic and Canadian Chambers of Commerce, the GMCC ensures that the interests of Miramichi's business community are represented at regional and national levels.

The Chamber's core values—integrity, collaboration, diversity, and dynamism—guide its initiatives and community engagement efforts. Signature events like the annual State of the City Address and Business Awards Gala not only celebrate local achievements but also provide platforms for dialogue between business leaders and municipal officials.

The GMCC is committed to inclusivity and acknowledges its presence on Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People.
