City of Miramichi Strengthens Fire Protection Services with Addition of New Firefighters
The City of Miramichi is pleased to announce the addition of eight (8) full time and two (2) part time firefighters to the Miramichi Fire Department, marking a significant investment in public safety and emergency response capacity.

Bridge Mitigation Plan presented to City Council
Senior city staff presented the Bridge Mitigation Plan to Miramichi City Council at a Council in Committee meetingTuesday, February 10th.
The presentation came after the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure announced the Centennial Bridge would be closing in 2026 and 2027. This years planned closure is scheduled for April 1st to December 1st.

Members of City Staff were recognized for their years of service. Those with 35 years and 30 years of service were presented with a certificate. The others were acknowledged by Mayor Lordon.
