Hydrant Flushing -2025

Hydrant flushing begins June 9th.

The City of Miramichi Public Works Department will be flushing water lines from June 9th, 2025 to July 11th, 2025.

The hydrant flushing will take place in the former Town of Chatham, the former Village of Douglastown, and in the area known as SkyPark (former CFB Chatham.)

Flushing will be inclusive between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.

This flushing is part of routine operation and maintenance of the water distribution system.

Residents may temporarily experience some discoloration in the water or decrease in water pressure while this work is being completed.

Residents of these affected areas will be notified on a regular basis of the specific dates when flushing will occur in their area.
