Freeman of the City recipients honoured

The City of Miramichi honoured seven individuals and one organization as Freeman of the City at an event held for them at the Rodd Miramichi on Thursday, June 26th.

They are:

  • Artie Morris

  • Tilly O’Neill-Gordon

  • Greg Morris

  • Hal Somers

  • Bill Fraser

  • Sheree Allison

  • Janet Creighton

  • BGC Miramichi (Boys and Girls Club)

The recipients and organization received a plaque, Freeman of the City medal and a commemorative coin to recognize the contributions they have made in their professions, public life, and community service. Mayor Adam Lordon read biographies of each which highlighted their careers and the selfless contributions they have made to the growth of the City.

Each recipient thanked those present for the support and encouragement they have received.
