Notice of Public Presentation - Municipal Plan and Zoning By-Law
PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Miramichi is proposing a number of changes to its Municipal Plan (By-law No. 109) and Zoning By-law (By-law No. 110), to permit housing in the Regional Commercial Zone and other housing-related amendments addressing administrative provisions in the Zoning By-law.
Amendments being proposed to the Municipal Plan By-Law and Zoning By-Law:
Permit medium density residential uses in the Regional Commercial Zone
Increase number of permitted units in R-3 and R-4 zones by 50%
Amend definitions and parking requirements
Add policy for and define Supportive Housing
As part of the public engagement process, there will be a Public Presentation on March 24, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 141 Henry Street, Miramichi, NB.
You may also provide feedback as part of the required Public Hearing which will take place April 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 141 Henry Street, Miramichi, NB.
Interested parties may inspect the proposed by-law online at the City’s website www.miramichi.org by searching “Proposed By-Laws”, or at the City Hall during regular operating hours.
