City and CUPE Local 1387 sign Collective Agreement
City of Miramichi Mayor Adam Lordon and CUPE Local 1387 President Craig Somers (far right) were joined by City Clerk Rhonda Ripley and CUPE Local 1387 secretary Terry Sherrard for the signing of the agreement.
Following the ratification of the collective agreement between the City of Miramichi and CUPE Local 1387 on November 4th, 2025, it was officially signed on November 26th, 2025.
Mayor Adam Lordon and CUPE Local 1387 President Craig Somers signed the four year agreement which covers the period of January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2028.
Local 1387 members will see annual wage adjustments of 4 per cent in 2025, 3 per cent in 2026, three per cent in 2027 and 2.5 per cent in 2028. The increase in wages and benefits is expected to be $690,000.
CUPE Local 1387 voted to ratify the tentative agreement on October 28, 2025.
