Update on the Arbec Wellness Centre Construction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Miramichi, NB – September 29,2026 – As construction of the Arbec Wellness Centre continues to advance steadily, the City of Miramichi is pleased to share that significant progress has been made throughout the facility. Interior finishes, major building systems, aquatics and arena spaces are well underway, and testing activities have begun.

As the project enters its final stages, adjustments have been made to the timeline. Construction is now expected to wrap up at the end of January. The City will then undertake a short transition period for staff training, operational readiness, city equipment installation and final preparations before welcoming residents in early February 2027.

As we approach completion, we remain committed to ensuring the facility meets the high standards of quality, performance and community impact that the residents of Miramichi deserve.
