Weekly Construction Update

Here is the weekly construction update for the week of June 8th, 2026:
🚧 Habitat for Humanity Subdivision – Underground Infrastructure will continue off Railway Avenue between Lawlor Lane and Doyle Street.
🚧 Ironmen Field Lighting Upgrades – Work will continue off John Street with periodic road closures between Pyne Street and St. Thomas Street.
🚧 Eco Centre Roof Repairs – Work will continue at the facility at Civic 21 Cove Road.
🚧 Former Kerr’s Trailer Park Stormwater Upgrades Phase 2 – Work will continue on Lakeside Drive/Marcan Drive to perform ditching and the installation of storm infrastructure.
🚧 Vye’s Hollow Lift Station Replacement – Work will continue near Civic 288 King George Highway.
🚧 Shoreline Protection – Landscaping & asphalt repairs will commence near civic 4020 Water Street.
🚧 Street Resurfacing North – Paving operations will commence on Ideal Court, Farrer Crescent, and Crocker Crescent. The work includes road preparation and asphalt paving.
🚧 Flett Street Culvert – Asphalt restoration will be completed.
💦Hydrant Flushing - water line flushing will begin Monday, June 8th in the former Town of Chatham, the former Village of Douglastown, and in the area known as SkyPark (former CFB Chatham).
🚦Advanced green lights have been added to all the temporary traffic lights on King George Highway.
𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗘: 𝗔𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱.
⚠️ The Centennial Bridge is closed until December 1st, 2026. A detour is in place via King George Highway that has been marked with signage. Please allow extra time during your commute and if possible avoid travel during peak traffic times.
🚫 Don't block intersections!!
‼️No Left Turns signs have been installed at Williston Drive and Ledden Street. Please follow the signage and limit left-hand turns if possible along King George Highway.
